Incheon, Yangju, Chunchon Myungdong & Nami Island

The next early morning we arrived at Incheon International Airport. Incheon is a city which is famours for MacArthur's strategic landing during the Korean War. It's a coastal city along the Yellow Sea (can't recall how far away from Seoul). The airport was built on one of the island named Yeongjong Island of the city. I always puzzled why there's no airport in Seoul itself, but located in somewhere else. But I did not ask our guide about this.

Yangju Daejanggeum Thema Park

AS you can see from the photoes, this theme park is not well built, and it's not at all worth of visiting.

This is Korean version of Teppanyaki. It fries cabbage, chicken meet, Korean rice cake, rice and seaweed. You can just eat or wrapped inside the green vegetable (please see the photo above) leave. Unlike our Chinese, they don't put any oil on the pan, instead, a lot of chili sauce, and if you like, you can fry together with Kimchi also. It's super delicious.

Did you see the small round column shape things? That's Korean rice cakes. It's extremely chewy.

That's how the final one looks like. (The green one is seaweed and coriander) The fun of this dish is you need to do it yourself. In fact, most of Korean dishes are self-doing.

This is Myungdong Chunchon. Here is the place to shoot the famous Korean show -- Winter Romance. It is said the agricultural products are extremely expensive in Korea. But, Chunchon, comapre to others, is one of the cheapest places. So, if you like Korean fruits, better buy here, don't wait until you go to Seoul. Korea is famous for pear and peach. Corn is also very tasty if you like. I also bought some seaweed back. They have all sorts of seaweed.

In the afternoon, we went to Nami Island -- where another Korean drama was shot. Actually there is not much of tourism resources in Korea and there were not many visitors before 1997 -- the Asia crisis. Because there were no other ways to improve their economy, the Government decided to start tourism. Plenty of Korean dramaes were born since then to lure the visitors. Some actors and actresses like Bae Yong Joon, are consider their national heroes simply because these well packaged dramaes actracted many naive Asia people to visit this country each year and brought tremendous profits.
